Basta Gourmet Bar

Basta opened in autumn 2015 beside Kino Europa, marketed on opening as the city centre's first authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and later certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. A named-writer review from the same year that opened it, however, found the dough itself indistinguishable from the soft, thick-edged style Zagreb's earliest pizzerias served in the late 1980s, not the thin, high-heat Neapolitan crust the marketing claims — a direct, sourced dispute between the venue's own self-description and independent tasting.
